EXAMPLE ASSIGNMENT FOR A REPORT
Research the history of a college or college program that is specifically intended for Deaf students. This could be Gallaudet University, the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, or a program such as the one at California State University-Northridge. Find out what is notable about the program and why a Deaf student might want to attend. Also look at a hearing college program and what accommodation they provide to deaf students.
Now organize your research and ideas to write a three- to five-page formal paper. Summarize the ideas of your sources and edit your paper to make sure it is clear, well-organized, and thoughtful.
Use at least one source that is in ASL with captions, and use quotations, facts, definitions, and ASL terminology.
Turn in your formal paper.
