Government always has big visions on how to spend your money. Their track record is not so good

im Mason

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is. I have seen too many government programs with large vision that fail because they didn't do the research, didn't start small, didn't check results, didn't start with the highest value parts first, didn't understand the risks, didn't know how to execute. Sometimes taxpayers get tired of governments telling us where they will spend our money next with similar results. How about a system where you don't use taxpayer money and if you like the vision, you donate, otherwise you're good

the Biden administration, there have been 6.4 million encounters outside official ports of entry along the southern border so far, with the yearly average more than quadruple that of the Trump administration,

CBP agents have registered more than 1.6 million encounters at official ports of entry with migrants deemed “inadmissible,” some of whom are allowed to temporarily enter the country.

Those totaled nearly 400,000 for the most recent fiscal year reported, 2021,

The chart shows the illegals released into the US at taxpayer expense as the difference between encounters and total expulsions

The estimated gotaways that are in the country are not included in the charts below

Biden created a CHNV program to allow up to 360,000 illegals into the US by flying them directly into the country

In January 2023, his administration created a program that allows up to 30,000 total individuals each month from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to travel to the U.S. and seek parole.

Wapo 082224- The reinvention of Kamala Harris

Harris herself, with Biden’s support, began focusing less on perilous political tasks like tackling the cause of immigration and seized instead on issues such as abortion and racism,

Harris appeared frustrated by repeated questions about why she had not yet visited the U.S.-Mexico border

She traveled the country warning that not just abortion rights but also an array of other freedoms were under threat

The rules-based global order may have unfairly benefited the G7 group of rich countries but at least everyone knew where they stood. As it fractures, there’s little to stop every country pursuing its own national interests at the expense of everything else. The result, as we’re already starting to see, will be chaotic.

In 2022, Biden created a "parole" program to let MONTHLY up to 30,000 illegal aliens from those four countries ( CHNV ) to the United States WITHOUT any legal approval from Congress to enter the United States on two-year periods of parole, complete with the promise of employment authorization and, ultimately, access to government benefits.

US Immigration Laws - details

...

The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) was enacted in 1952. The INA collected many provisions and reorganized the structure of immigration law. The INA has been amended many times over the years and contains many of the most important provisions of immigration law.

The INA is contained in the United States Code (U.S.C.). The U.S. Code is a collection of all the laws of the United States. Title 8 of the U.S. Code covers "Aliens and Nationality."

The tables below show INA sections and their corresponding U.S. Code section. To ensure accuracy, USCIS links to the official U.S. Code prepared by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Title I: General Provisions
Title II: Immigration
Title III: Nationality and Naturalization
Title IV: Refugee Assistance
Title V: Alien Terrorist Removal Procedures

This massive surge in illegal migration — over and above Congress’ limits in the INA — will quickly become unsustainable absent significant tax increases or drastic cuts in government funding for public benefits, housing, education, and healthcare. By law, Congress, not the president, gets to decide who is allowed to come here and who must be kept out. It’s well past time that Congress reasserts that authority.

NYT assesses Trump, Biden Immigration Claims

Biden on Trump reaction to a school shooting >> do you think Biden is accurate?

After another school shooting in Iowa recently, he said — when asked what to do about it — he said, ‘Just get over it.’”

What Trump ACTUALLY said:

Trump offered his “support and deepest sympathies” to the victims of the school shooting. “We’re really with you as much as anybody can be. It’s a very terrible thing that happened. It’s just terrible to see that happening,” Trump said. “That’s just horrible. It’s so surprising to see it here.”

Biden false claim on taxes billionaires pay

As he has said many times before, Biden claimed that billionaires pay an average federal tax rate of 8.2%, less than the rate paid by “a teacher, a sanitation worker, or a nurse.” But that’s not the average rate in the current tax system; it’s a White House calculation that factors in earnings on unsold stock as income.

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/social-security-immigration-problem-getting-084400657.html

one demographic shift that's causing all sorts of problems for Social Security has to do with the rate of immigration into the United States.

Social Security is a program that's heavily reliant on people legally migrating into the U.S. each year. Most people who move to the U.S. tend to be younger, which means they'll spend decades in the labor force. Social Security collects approximately 90% of its annual revenue from the 12.4% payroll tax on wages and salaries (up to $168,600 in 2024).

the net migration rate for the U.S. per 1,000 people has fallen from 6.48 in 1998 to 2.748 in 2023, representing a nearly 58% drop in legal net immigration.

With the U.S. population reaching nearly 340 million in 2023, a net migration rate of 2.748 per 1,000 people translates to roughly 934,300 net legal migrants entering the United States. The 2023 Trustees Report bases its $22.4 trillion funding shortfall estimate on average annual net immigration of 1.245 million people through 2097. In other words, a continued decline in the legal net migration rate will almost certainly result in a larger expected funding obligation shortfall over the coming 75 years.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is funded via the General Fund.

SSI also, on occasion, provides income to people seeking asylum in the United States. Traditional Social Security provides no benefits whatsoever to undocumented workers.

Biden Policies Now

https://joebiden.com - NOT a policy site ONLY fundraising

...

President Biden will deliver bold action and immediate relief for American families as the country grapples with converging crises. This will include actions to control the COVID-19 pandemic, provide economic relief, tackle climate change, and advance racial equity and civil rights, as well as immediate actions to reform our immigration system and restore America’s standing in the world.

President Biden will move to contain the COVID-19 crisis  <<< OLD news - not relevant now there are vaccines, treatments and insurance coverage

Climate directions. << should not put a date that is more important than all other impacts

The Biden Administration will create good-paying, union jobs to build a modern and sustainable infrastructure, deliver an equitable clean energy future, and put the United States on a path to achieve net-zero emissions, economy-wide, by no later than 2050.

Racism and identity politics are always more important than building consensus together << equality good. equity bad

every American has an equal chance to get ahead, yet persistent systemic racism and barriers to opportunity have denied this promise for so many.

Open borders program on immigration << no limits at all – little vetting allowing most illegals in

Biden’s strategy is centered on the basic premise that our country is safer, stronger, and more prosperous with a fair and orderly immigration system that welcomes immigrants, keeps families together, and allows people across the country—both newly arrived immigrants and people who have lived here for generations—to more fully contribute to our country.

Foreign policy << a few key actions stood out but little improvement in our key alliances anywhere and failure to confront our adversaries effectively

rebuilding democratic alliances across the globe, championing America’s values and human rights, and

Improving American economic competiveness in world economy << Chips act, American Recovery Act, Infrastructure Act step in the right direction

equipping the American middle class to succeed in a global economy.
