Notes on DMX presentations for Global Forum 2020

submission notes - 190930

Notes on Presentation Submissions - Click here to expand...

The Global Forum extended the deadline to finalize presentation submissions to this Saturday, 10/5.

I've submitted the 2 sessions to the Hyperledger Global Forum we discussed earlier: 1 on VINblock and 1 on Data Privacy and Compliance.

The presentation details are attached.
I submitted these with you as the main speaker and myself as a co-speaker. I also put these in as 40 minute presentations. We can deliver them shorter as we choose.

A presentation is not a product pitch according to the guidelines so I eliminated most of the product identity and used the service as a replacement in the abstracts. Eg VINblock became Vehicle Identity Service in most cases.

There is also the opportunity to submit the same product pitch we did last year as a 15 minute vendor presentation if we want. Our VINblock presentation last year fit that model and there is no limit on referencing products etc.

We can do whatever you would like at this week. We can keep these 2 as is, replace them with the shorter 15 minute product pitches or do both presentations and product pitches.

Your thoughts ??
Let me know when you have time.

Thanks,

Jim

#presentation - VINblock Vehicle Identity: foundation for the Trusted Mobility Marketplace

NEW

The automotive marketplace is rapidly changing with new technologies for connected vehicles and the mobility ecosystem. DMX is a mobility marketplace provider delivering innovative solutions connecting dealers, OEMs,vendors, consumers and vehicles. Hyperledger Fabric is an open-source platform leader in enterprise blockchain technology and services. MOBI ( the Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative ) for the mobility industry has defined a new standard for connected vehicle identity.

In this session we'll review the DMX VINblock prototype Vehicle Identity service. The service uses Hyperledger Fabric blockchain technology with support for the MOBI connected vehicle identity standard. Vehicle Identity Services are the basis for trust, privacy, transparency, faster transactions, lower costs, and security to the marketplace and it's participants.

We'll cover: Vehicle Identity use cases and requirements, the design of the initial service and it's marketplace benefits, how Hyperledger Fabric provides the right blockchain framework for permissioned services, Vehicle Identity smart contracts and API overview, the support model for MOBI's VID ( vehicle identity ) system, a simple demo of the Vehicle Identity service MVP for ownership transfers, usage concepts for Vehicle Identity service in other marketplace solutions, lessons learned for enterprise blockchain solutions

BENEFIT

The session shows: how connected vehicles can use an identity service on blockchain to participate in the mobility ecosystem, how Fabric and other Hyperledger projects provide the features needed to implement enterprise blockchains and the process to create and use an identity service in marketplace systems.

#presentation - DCS: Data Privacy & Compliance Services using Hyperledger Fabric

NEW

Data privacy and personal data management needs have created new requirements for software applications and ecosystems in all industries. Regulations such as GDPR ( General Data Protection Regulation ) in the EU, CCPA ( California Consumer Protection Act ) in the US and other regulations indifferent industries create both liabilities and opportunities for applications and data in many business environments today.

DMX is a mobility marketplace provider delivering innovative solutions connecting dealers, OEMs,vendors, consumers and vehicles. Hyperledger Fabric is an enterprise, open-source platform that leads in enterprise blockchain technology and services.

We'll review how DMX is developing data compliance services ( DCS ) to meet data privacy challenges and opportunities leveraging Hyperledger Fabric. Data compliance services can add trust, privacy, transparency, compliance and security to the marketplace and it's participants.

We'll cover: Data privacy and personal data management use cases and requirements in the mobility marketplace, the design of the initial data compliance service ( DCS ) and it's benefits for participants, how Hyperledger Fabric provides the right blockchain framework for data compliance, DCS smart contracts and API implement TEAR services ( Track events -- Escalate notifications -- Audit compliance -- Remediate compliance issues ), a simple demo of the DCS service MVP prototype for a simple contact management application, usage of data compliance services in other solutions, lessons learned for private data in enterprise blockchain solutions

Benefits

Come learn: a summary of the concepts for identity, private data and personal data compliance requirements, how Fabric and other Hyperledger projects provide support for identities, private data and personal data management, the process to use a data compliance service similar to the demo in your own solutions.
