Blockrails Review Report pdf

Key Concepts

Project Concepts

We’re getting sign off on our proposal to begin work on our first PL project to kick off 2021.
I’ll setup a kickoff call for mid-next-week to walk through everything and respond to any questions you both may have.
For now, here are the Objectives, Scope & Deliverables:

OVERVIEW
This is considered a short-term project encompassing an architectural review and design evaluation to expand and rebrand an existing application.
The client has an existing blockchain supported identity validation application built in house branded "Blockit". Per recent requirements provided by the client, they would like to expand the application and rebrand to "Blockrails" and include (

  • a) digital certification of documents using blockchain along with a secure data room for customer sharing of those documents, and (
  • b) providing EFT payment services using an integrated third party application.

The "Blockrails" platform needs a user experience review and design streamlining to expand the customer experience and interface. The ultimate application will need to provide both a web and mobile experience as it is currently only a web experience.
The client intends to launch the expanded application in the real estate industry for a trial period before a cross-industry national release.
The scope, deliverables, assumptions, timeline and budget required to complete this project follow.

OBJECTIVES
This project focuses on a composite review and planning (including design board samples) in order to determine the scope of work (time and costs) for the expanded production design and development of the application.
There are 3 objectives for this project

OBJECTIVE 1: Determine an expanded user journey that will result in a world class UX for both web and mobile that can deliver a seamless, engaging user experience with all client specified features. This will include a new production design look and feel for the application to meet this criteria.

OBJECTIVE 2: Fabric redesign
Determine the work required to blueprint the necessary additions, changes or upgrades to the existing Hyperledger Fabric blockchain framework that can ensure a low latency, seamless and engaging user experience with all client specified features.

  • what version of Fabric ?  what languages used ?
  • what data is on-chain vs off-chain ?
  • what identities are managed in Fabric?
  • who signs transactions now?
  • is there a need for private data on-chain?

OBJECTIVE 3: Determine the work required to adjust existing application cloud architecture and front end to provide a low latency, seamless and engaging user experience of the application with all required features.

Project Review info

Blockchain inputs
I have repo access ( need to resolve a password issue )
looking for caliper, explorer configs, couchdb fauxton address and login
ssh access to the docker containers, yaml files
want to see the startup / shutdown / test access
see how the blockchain transactions linked to the app transactions ( lastTXID or ? )
what's on chain vs off chain etc
anything else you think is relevant
if not all in our first meeting, we can work on it in other sessions
Thanks very much
