Kaleido drives Swift's CBDC sandbox solution | The sandbox demonstrates that CBDC-initiated cross-border payments can plug into Swift’s enhanced platform exactly as real-time gross settlement (RTGS) payments do. This is facilitated using Swift's newly designed CBDC connector gateway. The goal of the experiment is to assess the potential to use CBDCs in cross-border payments and get real-time feedback on potential strategies. |

Chainyard
Met with Isaac Kunkel, VP of Consulting Services at Chainyard, a Hyperledger consulting firm based in Raleigh, NC with an offshore facility in India. The team is over 50 people with 80% of the resources based in Raleigh.
We discussed help that a company like Chainyard can provide DMX in delivering our initial blockchain solutions: design collaboration, a development role and a role in deployment and administration. They can also provide skills transfer and documentation for DMX teams to take over maintenance responsibilities.
Isaac confirmed that Chainyard has helped other customers implement Fabric solutions in design, development and administration over the last 3 years.
Some key facts on Chainyard:
Hyperledger focused consulting group based in Raleigh
3 years experience helping customers deliver production Fabric solutions
IBM sub-contractor testing Fabric for IBM at the Raleigh lab
Building a Fabric purchasing network as a Chainyard product with IBM Raleigh
Contributed articles to IBM developer on Hyperledger Fabric
Steps
A DMX NDA has been signed by both parties.
Blockchain requirements overview meeting to share DMX vinBlock requirements so Chainyard can provide a proposal with costs and a timeline.

Solulab
An India-based software development firm with a New York office and some US-based consultants.
Their primary focus seems to be mobile and Web applications with work also some on AI and blockchain. They receive good reviews from those customers they asked for reviews. They have published a lot of position papers including some on blockchain. While the only case study they have published on blockchain is based on Ethereum, I contacted them to see if they have any Hyperledger projects in production. Maybe one so far.
Based on analyzing their projects listed and case studies, they have only worked on 2 Fabric projects to date. One looks to be done and one is just a proof of concept now. As a whole, the company lists 350 projects so the 2 on Fabric shows it’s not a core focus for this team.
They do the work in India and provide clients with weekly updates on project status during sprints.
Here’s a link to their blockchain presentation on work done so far.
